Fitted for Work Did you know...? People with a disability often have huge difficulty gaining employment. Fitted for Work is a volunteer organisation working under the auspices of the Disability Employment Action Centre - a Melbourne based not for profit organisation that represents people with a disability. Committed to helping long term unemployed women obtain work, its one-on-one approach supports women in that critical period, when they have completed job training programs and begin looking for jobs. Fitted for Work provides business clothing, presentation and interview skills, resume advice, building self confidence and assisting women to attain self sufficiency and financial independence. Many clients will have been out of work for a long time, some will never have had a job, and others will come from prison, detox programs, or be a recently arrived refugee. The difference it makes to an unemployed person to gain employment can never be underestimated. Pacific Brands is proud to be donating clothing and accessories to this innovative program.
