Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA) Did you know...? Every year, over 10,000 Australian men are diagnosed - and more than 2,500 die of - prostate cancer. The Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA) (www.prostate.org.au) aims to raise awareness of prostate cancer and provide support to those affected by it. When Pacific Brands learnt the statistics on prostate cancer, we challenged ourselves to think how we might help increase awareness of this disease. We sell approximately 27 million pairs of men’s underpants each year, and with the support of PCFA we have devised a simple message for the swing tags on men’s underwear. The swing tags are now on the majority of our men's underpants range, including our three largest selling products. Our aim is to raise awareness about prostate cancer, and the importance of early detection. Our developing partnership with PCFA enables us to make a real contribution to our community. We are actively exploring other ways to work together, including donating golf sets for PCFA Charity Golf Days.
